Images I've Managed To Find

So I handed out nearly 500 of those cards with a special hashtag so people could tag me...
and I must say I'm fairly disappointed in the turnout.

I think I've found more when searching other hashtags like nazirocketeer, germanrocketeer, and rocketeer.

Anyways, here's what I've managed to find, i'll try and give credit where I can.
I still want to do a real photo shoot, just have to find some cool locations and a good photographer.

These first three were taken backstage before the Masquerade Costume Contest by Jesse Garrett.

New Roketieur Poster

Created this based on the iconic Rocketeer poster.

Also, if you didn't happen to see the Masquerade Contest, I participated in that with a friend. They also announced the winners of the Hall Costume Contest, which I'm happy to say I won for Most Original Costume!

How many days till Dragon Con?

Well it's coming along....

Got the piping onto the helmet. Slit the tube down the back and used split brads to hold it onto the helmet through a series of holes. You can kinda see the brass brads through the tubing.

Also have the comic book version of the jetpack almost ready for painting.

The lens in the back will light up, and even though the bottom grate does have a red lens, not much light will be directed there.

Sewed the epaulettes, wrist straps, and side straps for the jacket. Also have the main body of the jacket done. (notice those buttonholes, boy howdy!)

Comic Book Jetpack

If you know the comic book version of the Rocketeer, then you know the jetpack was completely different. The movie version is much more well known, and in my opinion a much cooler design.

My friend who I'm going to Dragon Con with is doing the female Rocketeer. So she wants the comic book version of the jetpack. She can sew, but I'm a bit more handy with making props. I had plenty of cardboard tube left over to build her a single jetpack.
